Other RV Services and Inspections

In addition to RV Pre-Purchase inspections, we offer other services that make owning an RV a more positive, safe, and rewarding experience. I do this, because, as someone who has full-timed with kids, I know how important it is to make sure we are all capable, safe, and aware RV owners and operators.

We'll take a hour or so and go over all the basics of how to use your RV, and how to maintain your RV

  • We'll cover driving safely, mirrors, backup cameras, turning, and knowing your numbers.
  • Setting up at a campground - levelers, jacks, braces, dealing with slopes, slide outs, etc.
  • How to connect to Water, Electrical, & sewer and how to do it with ease.
  • Towing connections, hooking up, safety, driving while towing in a Class A or C.
  • Safety equipment you may want to invest in.
  • ... even more as we have time.

Air Tabs are little add-ons (typically 40-60) that are stuck on to the back of your rig on the sides and top which break the vacuum created when pulling a square vehicle.

They were designed for big rigs to help safe fuel and drive safer in the wind. BUT, it turns out, that makes them perfect for RVs. RVs are susceptible to "push and pull" due to high winds and ALSO WHEN BIG RIGS PASS YOU.

When my family was on the highway in Texas, the speed limit was 80mph and those big rigs are going FAST. When they'd pass us (before Air Tabs) they would sometimes push us over 8'-12'! That means you could cause an accident or run off the road. Thankfully, there was a very wide shoulder when this happened, and we didn't crash. But we've been on a number of small roads and been pushed hard by big rigs passing us on both sides of the road.

And if you travel the Palm Springs area, you know there are high winds that make driving a white knuckle experience! That's why they put windmills out there - because it's not just occassional Santa Ana winds - it's nearly constant winds.

Once we put Air Tabs on our Class A, we barely felt any push from big rigs passing us regardless whether they were going the same direction or the opposite direction. And even high wind areas like Wyoming and South Dakota had little impact on us after having Air Tabs.

Also, when driving in the rain, your backup camera would get wet and dirty due to the vacuum pulling in the rain toward the camera. Once we had Air Tabs, the backup camera in the rain rarely was obscurred by rain and dirt, making changing lanes much safer.

Leaks, often unseen for long periods of time, allow dew and rain to sneak in, eventually destroying the walls, wood, trim, flooring, and more, leaving behind damage, mildew and even black mold. Eventually, the floor can rot clean through.

Leaks form in the outer walls and roof due to deterioration of seals, and also due to the earthquake your motorhome goes through every time you drive it -(especially in Michigan where the roads are horrible - just sayin').

Leaks can also be present in a brand new RV that just left the factory. Seams are hard to see and take a special test to determine if they are sealed correctly.

We have special equipment designed to make those open seams and seals reveal themselves so we can FIND them and then FIX them.
