About OC RV Inspection

WHY TRUST ME?

I'm NOT JUST some guy who's owned an RV :

  • I've also lived in one full time for more than a year while we traveled 48 states with kids and pets. I've experienced and fixed a LOT of stuff, and I've paid for that experience, so you don't have to. (I can also discuss what to look for if you're planning long term travel, or going full time)

  • I've also toured the factories at Winnebago, Tiffin, Thor, Newmar, and even the Ford F150 plant. They all say their process is the best, but I can honestly tell you that they're not that different. They all have similar problems - when they're brand new and when they're used. There are a few older brand (and high end) diesels that are really well made, but even that's changing today.

  • I've also worked with lots of GOOD RV repair people to find out WHY and HOW things break - and WHERE to find problems BEFORE you'd ever actually SEE them, and more.

  • I've also worked with the top RV Inspectors in the USA, used by insurance companies.

** MY REPORT IS 11 PAGES & 300+ items

Your average RV inspector has a couple of pages of things to check - my full report is 11 pages. That's from experience - I'm a detailed guy and when something goes wrong, I want to know how and why, and what the warning signs are. I guarantee you my list has things no other inspector has - because I've dealt with it first hand - and repaired it.

Let's be plain - you're not hiring an inspector to look at the things you can see. You're hiring them to know WHERE to look to find the trouble that's brewing, so it doesn't land on you when it hits the fan.

I'd be happy to discuss your inspection needs or even other questions you may have regarding buying an RV, or even going full time!

Things to remember...

Decide your budget and don't be too married to a particular RV make, model, or style.

RV's often look perfect, but it's HOW you use them that will really help determine if it's the right fit.

Like house hunting, RV hunting can change based on the season. Spring and Summer can be a sellers market, Fall and Winter for buyers.

List price is just a starting point, but you can always negotiate - and yes, some sellers price high because of emotional connection - their RV is PERFECT to them, but it still might need $1000's in work or upgrades. So it's good to understand the seller's motivation. They want their expensive 'baby' to go to a good home.
