Frequently Asked Questions

An inspection can generally take a couple of hours. We spend time being very detailed going over various systems, and trim, walls, appliances, exterior, interior, and more.
Most times, when you need an inspection, you'll ask the seller to approve an inspection and agree upon a time when it can be done. Other times, it will be up to the seller and the inspector to set up an agreed time, and we'll let you know when that time is. We'll do our best to be expedient in setting a time.
No. You can be present, but you do not have to be. We HIGHLY recommend, if you can, to see the RV before asking for an inspection. If you order an inspection and are seeing the RV for the first time during the inspection, it's possible that you may discover something that causes you to lose interest in the RV. But you've already ordered the inspection, there is still a minimum $99 charge to cancel the inspection.
It's best to coordinate with the seller (or dealer) a good time to have the inspection. And when you do, you'll want to remind the seller to have the refrigerator on (preferably a day before, but as soon as able) so that it's cooling can be tested. Access to water and shore power is preferred as well so those systems can be tested.
If the RV has an engine/transmission, we'll have the seller drive the vehicle while we pay attention to the drivability of the RV. But if it has an generator, we'll also test that. But it's recommended that the engine & transmission oils be tested to be very sure that there are no signs of burning, metals, etc present. It's not required, but is a good thing to do, especially if there is any suspicion of problems at all with the engines.
The report should be completed within 48 hours, most likely within 12 hours. Depending on season and demand, it can take a bit of time to generate a final report for you. We do understand the urgency, so we will notify you asap if there are any major finds that we think you should consider.
Pricing varies a little bit, (check YELP for current specials) but on average for most RVs, price starts at $250. It can go up for longer distances outside of OC if necessary, or for some diesel engine RVs due to the extra systems on board.
